I was walking past the outdoor stage, not intending to stay, but the first song from this velvet-voiced singer 'convinced' me to stick around. Serena's lilting, soulful vocals and her easy rapport with the audience made for a pleasant, all-too-brief show. I was particularly impressed by the richness of the music, the lush sounds that she and the drummer created with only three instruments. This was an enchanting musical performance, perfect in mood for a relaxing evening at the Fringe.
