I finally had the privilege to see Andrea Shawcross in a fringe show. I regret missing her shows in the past but I'm glad I attended this one. It's always great to support local talent. Anyway, her character was very empathysing to anyone who's dealt with a break-up and heart-ache. The performance was strong, you got lost in the story, the set was minimal and the writing especially had the feel of prose. Most scripts are more, "Don't tell, show" style, but there was some beautiful language here, one that could be simply read and not performed, but luckily for us, Andrea gave a good one.
I want to see more of Andrea's work and check out her body of work. I can't wait for next year's fringe.
