Normally, whenever a title such as this stares at me in the face, I'm all over it to see what kind of play this would end up being. I love one-person shows, so this was another reason to see it. Heidi Malazdrewich, who performed the title character of Lina, was adorable and watchable as she waxed on Catholicism and where in her body Jesus lies. I liked the surprise element of the apples being thrown onto the stage, thinking it some sort of fundamentalist protest I was witnessing. For some reason, I was expecting something more provocative, considering the title and all. Most people were offended by the title alone, but it didn't scare moi! Hell no! I hope this piece sees a life outside the Fem Fest, a great venue for women playwrights to be showcased.
