The pre-show starts off with some Bob Marley playing; it's assumed that anything associated with marijuana is linked to Bob Marley's reggae, not Peter Tosh or even Bunny Wailer, but I digress. The show portrayed a young, single woman with a mission to legalize marijuana, sending a letter to Moses Znaimer, chatting with Peter the hunky mailman and avoiding phone messages from her concerned mom. My favourite part was when she referred to Ted Nugent and his NRA rantings, quoting his scary tactics on what to to with unfavourable types on top of the table. The Ragpickers Annex was a small venue, but size doesn't matter at all when the size of the story took up enough space. Check out this local talent in this and future shows to come.
