This was the purest form of true theatre I have seen. What a delight to see this magical opera and all the kids enjoying it. The cast had spectacular voices and the magical trees as the set had leaves of green guaze-the main aria was repeated in the musical score and this prioduction reminded me of being in Avignon France and the festival there. The only weak link I felt was the man who played the father. At one point when he suddenly finds beauty at home after her long absence with the Beast-he racts to her as if she had merely gone to the fridge to get him a drink. He looked the part of a dad with his beard-but he had no stage presence and a weaker voice-he should have played the part of the statue and the staue who had a better voice then him should have played the dad.

Quote of the Moment
"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages."
