Stephen McIntyre's script paints what is perhaps a more believable rendition of the Adam & Eve story than the generally told version of dominant man and happily submissive woman -- though if it isn't evident from the description, one should attend this production for a good bit of fun rather than any deep religious meaning; and in this regard, it succeeds well.

Eve (Merry Lang) is a thoroughly likable character who shows a great range of human emotion. Adam (Andrew Cecon) seems to be painted as the original chauvinist; though I would have liked to have seen more dimension from his character than its three states of "indifferent-annoyed", "aggravated-annoyed", and "resigned-annoyed".

Overall, though, "So Far From Eden" is a solidly acted and directed production. Three stars!

Quote of the Moment
"I have no intention of uttering my last words on the stage. Room service and a couple of depraved young women will do me quite nicely for an exit."
